  2. “Banh my” (bread) is very popular in Vietnam, and I have never had it as unique Vietnam food. Vietnamese people love it, for it is very convenient and delicious for them when they are busy. Thanks to you, I know that it really has a strong impact on foreigners. Now, I answer three questions you ask.
    1. A long time ago, “banh mi” had a form that was different from “banh mi” today. Now, there are many bakeries’ in Vietnam, but almost of them have Western bread. Here are some photos of tradition Vietnam bread

However, now Vietnam young people prefer sandwich, toast, and especially baguette (French bread) because of the exchange culture.
    2. Like “Phở”, it can be used every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner). There are many kinds of food that you can eat with bread such as butter, sausage, fried meat, eggs, etc. Besides, we also add lettuce, carrot or purple cabbage to make it more delicious and nutritious. They look very delicious, don’t they?

The typical “banh mi” dish is beefsteak “banh mi”. It includes beef steak, chips, pâté. We use it with cucumber salad.

    3. Vietnam people don’t make bread at home. Making bread offers an oven, which we can’t afford to buy one as kitchen equipment. A few families have ovens, but they can only make Western bread, not traditional one. What’s a pity that I have never seen how they make traditional bread!
