Nagoya's famous food, Tenmusu

Hello, nice to meet you. In this article, I’ll introduce about Tenmusu, a famous food of my Nagoya, Aichi prefecture. Tenmusu is a rice ball contains tempura of shrimp. The shrimp’s taste is salt. It’s very tasty, so people become addicted to eat it.

The birthplace of Tenmusu was Mie prefecture, but now, its very famous as a souvenir and side dish of Nagoya. In 1957, Tenmusu was eaten by staffs as a board of Japanese foods restaurant, ‘Senju’ in Mie prefecture. ‘Akasya shrimp’ is usually used in Tenmusu. The shrimp’s length is about 12cm, best season is summer.

Tenmusu is delicious if it becomes cool, so it is sold as a box meal. A garnish is butterbur seasoned. I like this garnish, and this garnish is wrapped with Tenmusu in same wrap, so Tenmusu is stained with its taste. I’m really like the valance of taste, Tenmusu and garnish. It’s very tasty.
It is very popular in Nagoya. My every family really like Tenmusu, so when we go to Nagoya, we generally buy Tenmusu. It is very nice if it becomes cool, but of course, fresh one is very very good. We can buy it Matsuzakaya’s food floor, ‘Senju’ in Osu and so on. I wish to people who visit Nagoya eat Tenmusu, and speak to their friends about good points of Tenmusu.
